THE GATHERING PLACE, powered by Love Sports Academy, is a welcoming, family-friendly private event venue located in Edna, Texas. We offer a fun and affordable indoor space for birthdays, graduation parties, reunions, team celebrations, church gatherings, youth events, meetings, and community gatherings.
During the summer, we also host a special program for students in grades 4–9, with 40 spots available, providing a safe and engaging environment for learning, games, and activities.

Coach Reed
Coach RJ Reed is a respected educator, mentor, championship coach, and community leader with more than 25 years dedicated to serving students, families, and communities. A former principal, 9-Time Coach of the Year, and Disney Teacher of the Year Finalist, Coach Reed has built a legacy centered on leadership, mentorship, and excellence in athletics, education, and community service.
Throughout his coaching career, he has earned more than 700 career victories and 35 championships across football, basketball, and baseball as a head coach. Known for building successful programs and developing young leaders, Coach Reed’s impact extends far beyond wins and trophies — helping shape character, build confidence, and create opportunities for future success.
That same passion for serving others inspired the creation of THE GATHERING PLACE — a safe, fun, and affordable community venue designed for celebrating life’s biggest moments. More than just an event space, THE GATHERING PLACE reflects Coach Reed’s continued mission of investing in youth, strengthening families, and bringing the community together.
